It's A New Day!

Hey Grace family!

On Saturday, the Elders and I sat down to prayerfully consider and clarify the current vision for Grace Fellowship. God was faithful and made clear to us what we, as a church, are going to do.

1. God wants us to get the church healthy through spiritual growth.

2. We will stop trying and start training people in the church to do God’s work.

3. We are to love our communities and become known as the church that cares for our cities.

We will focus on Philippians 1:3-6 as our guide as we partner in working together for the glory of God.

Thanksgiving & Prayer
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you,

I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first

day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you

will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Phil 1:3-6)

It’s a NEW DAY at Grace!

Over the years, much has been accomplished through everyone’s generous giving via the Christmas Gift… but in this new season, God is calling us to lead and inspire in different ways.

We will not have a Christmas Gift this year. Instead, I’m asking us to do something different.  Let’s each do something.

Last week, Michelle and I shared a meal with a couple with kids in our church. They asked where we were on the budget. I told them 10% behind for the year, which is roughly $200,000+. They said, “Wow. We can’t cover that but we’ll do our part to help catch up.”

Here’s where it gets really cool...At the end of the time together, they committed to match up to $50,000 given in December. I never made an ask or gave a pitch, just answered questions. Didn’t see that coming.

What’s the point? The point is that prayer works, God is able, and we have to trust Him!

Now we can’t all give $50,000, but each of us can be faithful to do our part in helping our church family catch up. If everybody does something, nobody has to do everything, and God gets all the credit. God has BIG plans in store for our church and our communities!
